The Diversity in Friendship

When thinking of different styling ideas, one of my ideas was  to portray the idea of a strong bond of friends with a taste of diversity popped in my head. Diversity doesn’t mean black & white only!

Before heading to California in April for my b-day trip or whatever, I thought this was the perfect timing to put this idea into action. Doing a shoot in Cali sounded like fun anyways! The thought of a strong bond of friends instantly went to doing a shoot with my close friends!

Before leaving for Cali, I already packed these sets together and I figured out which set would best fit who. Once I past out everyone’s outfit, BAM! We didn’t have to drive anywhere to shoot since the outside of where we were staying was just beautiful! The trees had pretty fuchsia pink flowers? and the petals were slowly dropping to the floor creating a nice scene for these photos.

So here is my vision:

-The solid colored strap tops represents us being African American women but the different colors represents our skin being different shades of brown.
-Each of us having a different pattern bottoms represents the diversity. We are NOT the same but what we DO have in common is that we are beautiful, strong women who each have unique personalities, come from different backgrounds but no matter what makes us different, we still embrace and love each other! #TOP5???? (Awww…touchy moment. lol)

By the way (for those who didn’t know)….I got a NEW DSLR CANON camera!!? Yessss…about time right? lol Picture quality about to be poppin’!! S/o to Chelsea for taking these pictures for me!
