Belt it? Or Naw?
There are times where I would see something I like in the stores and when I do buy it, I have already visualized how I would wear it or what I would wear it with. Getting ready for work, I put on this dress (yup of course, from Target one of my favs?), something felt incomplete. Soon as I get that feeling, first thoughts are always: jewelry or belt. I checked out the jewelry I already had on and instantly crossed that idea out of my idea. The simple jewelry pieces I had on was enough and I knew adding more would take away from the dress or possibly too much! I decided to rely on a belt. A thick belt would’ve done exactly what “adding more jewelry” would have been…TOO MUCH. Well, only with this dress because of it’s a short dress! A thin belt would definitely do the trick and it felt like the missing piece to the puzzle.
This dress was also loose fitting and adding a belt never fails to enhance those curves which gives your confidence an extra boost!
On another note, that whole day at work, I was eating all kinds of junk and my stomach was ready to explode. Removing the belt I realized with or without the belt that it still looked good! No lie…I felt nicer with the belt but obviously I seemed more excited through my pictures without the belt! I can be so confusing at times!!??
I’m not a belt fan but really like how it can change up the look quite easily. May have to reconsider my preferences…
Yes adding a belt or even accessories in general can recreate a whole new look which is what I love! You may eventually love it too once you start to wear something more than once and decide the 2nd time you want to spice it up a bit 😀
